Knotless Netting by Renie Breskin Adams
Renie Bee Buzz Blog

Knotless netting, unlike embroidery, is constructed of stitches looped through each other but never attached to a backing fabric. Like a woven tapestry, the picture is visable on both sides of the textile. The knotless net stitch has been used to construct objects as diverse as fishnets, baskets, mittens, and needle lace. Knotless netted pictures are unusual.
